Our Facility

 

AITC currently shares a campus that is centrally located on Level 6, 8 Quay Street, Haymarket NSW 2000. The environment of the campus is comfortable, conducive to study, and provides highly functional facilities for students. The facilities are fully equipped to enhance their learning experiences. Study areas for individuals and groups are available for students to undertake group projects, prepare assignments, and undertake research projects.

The Campus has lift access, a high level of security through CCTV surveillance, and a Front Desk that assists with student enquiries. The Student Support and Academic Office is open from 10 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday and appointments can be scheduled with the Reception Staff. Student Counselling is also available to all students and appointments can be made upon request.

AITC ensures that there are enough resources and facilities available to staff and students to support the projected student enrolments and the required staffing levels. The resources and facilities must be of sufficient quality to inspire students to achieve the expected learning outcomes from their academic endeavours.

Physical Facilities

The physical facilities available include:

  • One fully equipped classroom that can accommodate 50 students for face-to-face learning delivery.
  • One computer laboratory for the exclusive use of students at scheduled times.
  • One physical library and free online access to e-library and the research data base – ProQuest.
  • Student kitchen.
  • A Water fountain with natural mineral water.
  • A Student break out area.
  • Separate male, female and disable toilets.
  • Office areas for staff.
  • Meeting rooms.
  • A Student lounge where students can meet, relax, mingle and foster friendships. The environment is stylish, comfortable, friendly and welcoming. Students can bring their own lunches and reheating facilities are available.

 

Information Technology Support

AITC provides the following resources and IT infrastructure for staff and students: The AITC computer facilities include state-of-the-art hardware and software, with enough terminals to cater for student needs. Students can access the internet from anywhere in the campus with their laptops via the free WIFI. Every semester, each student is given an unlimited free data allowance for internet usage.

 

Library

AITC has a physical library that was specifically designed and resourced to support the research and study needs of students. A librarian is available to assist students locate resources that assist in their studies. The library contains reference materials relevant to the courses offered by AITC and includes textbooks, magazines, journals, reference books and newspapers and business databases. AITC also offers a range of e·library databases for the use of students including, Pro-Quest eBook Central. The Library enables and enriches learning through the provision of relevant and extensive information resources and services that are in line with the AITC Education plan. AITC provides an exemplary library service that draws on the professional expertise of staff, reflects a commitment to quality assurance principles, and is future oriented.

 

Counselling Service

AITC provides a free and confidential counselling service. Counsellors can help students adjust to their new environment, deal effectively with difficult personal situations and advocate on behalf of students.

 

Overseas Student Health Cover

Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is the private health insurance that international students and their dependents are required to purchase as a condition of their Student Visa. AITC can arrange the OSHC for students. Students should note that it is a condition of their Student Visa to maintain current OSHC.

 

First Aid Services

First Aid Kits and supplies are kept on the premises. The Institute staff respond immediately to requests for first aid assistance.
